I am Federico Sorcini, a Doctoral candidate in the department of Psychology at the University of Illinois Urbana-Chmpaign, specializing in visual attention research. My academic background spans psychology, neuroscience, and computer science, with a strong focus on how humans process visual information. My current research investigates the role that real depth plays in guiding our visual attention.

Previously, I completed a post-baccalaureate program in computer science at Tufts University, which has strengthened my computational approach to cognitive neuroscience.

Beyond my research, I have experience in designing and implementing computational models, including CNN-based architectures and visual search models in C++ and Python. I am also passionate about experimental design, eye-tracking methodologies, and statistical analysis of human behavioral data.

I love photography, cooking new recipes, talking soccer, hiking, skiing, daydreaming, and doing puzzles!
